Pet Immune Motion Detectors

Now that I think about it, I had an Ademco petsafe wireless PIR at my old house. I had two cats for awhile, and they never set it off, even when jumping on the dining room table right in front of it.

Thx for the tips guys. I'll look up a couple of the models mentioned; If that doesn't look promising, I'll probably go for the cross zoning. I truly hate running wires though... maybe I'll get a contractor out for the last batch of wires...

Our cats do only trip ours in pretty specific situations, so it's not an everyday occurrence; but it seems that they'll repeat the same behavior a few times, then it'll stop for a while... then something will change (boxes get stacked next to the dresser so they can now get up; or most recently, baby gates added that make the cats have to jump to get around them)...

As far as the "Get rid of the cats" - I was raised that pets are like kids - they're your responsibility no matter what once you take them on because we've raised them since kittens and they depend on us... but these will be our last. We do love them, but we've had enough of hairballs and litterboxes...

I was joking. I had cats at one time. I won't have them again though.

yeah...our cats are truly like our children..no matter how often they throw up on you you cannot help but love them.

We couldnt find one of our the other day and we spent hours searching the house and then in the middle of the night with flashlights around the neigborhood shaking the treat pouch.

We were so upset and finally decided to resume in the morning. We go to bed, and my wife goes to get her night clothes from the dresses....guess what is sleeping inside her night clother drawer (which was shut somehow)?

We still don't know how the 20lbs tub of lard we love so much got herself in there and manager to close it, no do we know if she would have found her way back out if he hadn't found her.

Back to topic:

Anybody have good results with them ADEMCO units? What i have now(Bosh Blueline) doesnt seem to work well. Oddly enough this wasn't a real issue until summer when the sun was out more. I'm thinking a kitty that laid baking in a sunbeam triggers motions more than a regular kitty. There should have been a weight and animal body temp rating on these things.
