Philips EnduraLED Dimming

I just purchased some Philips EnduraLED lamps (12w EnduraLED A19 12E26A60) and the package included an insert about compatibility with dimmers. There were no HA dimmers on the list. Does anyone recognize the dimmers on the list if they are "typical" electronic dimmers? Do you see an issue with using them with standard insteon dimmers?

I don't see that particular bulb on the linked sheet - looks like the different bulbs have different compatibility.

I did buy 3 of the Candelabra style bulbs listed on the 2nd page about 2 months ago and put them in a ceiling fan that's controlled by Simply Automated dimmers, and I'm pretty pleased with the performance; no weirdness at all - they just dim pretty consistently; only issue is that I wish they were a bit brighter (and I need to change that switch not to default to 80% on like most of the house).

I have some of them that I have been using on Insteon dimmers for the last year and half and they still work fine, the 17 watt version dims better. I have dimmed the 17 watt version to as low as 2 percent. There is a multi page thread here on LED lights that has peoples experiences with different lights. If you plan to use multiple bulbs on a dimmer, check with Philips to see if they limit the bulbs per dimmer, I have some LSG Glimpse lights and they recommend you not use more than 5 on. 600 watt dimmer due to in-rush current spikes that will exceed the dimmers 600 watt rating, my LSG Glimpse Lights are rated at 14.5 watts.

There are some common dimmers listed on the EndureLED Technical Sheet.

FYI there are two versions of the EnduraLED Bulbs. The originals have 18 LEDs in them the newer models have 9 LEDs in them if memory serves me.
12E26A60 is on my older ones.
12E26A60-1 is on my newer ones.

I have tested mine on a few Insteon; Z-Wave and X10 modules with varied results.

I also have one of the Philips LPrize 10W 900 Lumens Bulbs to play with.

I just checked on the bulbs and I have the -1 model. I can dim down to 2% but they don't start properly all the time less than 10% (one will turn on but not the other). They don't flicker except at 1%.

Nice bulbs.. Now if I can only find them cheaper :)

What did you pay If you don't mind me asking...

Well the price we here in CT it is $26.60 and a $10.00 incentive for a final price of $16.60.
I was told MA and RI pay $15.00 with their power companies incentive.
So $14.00 is not a bad price.

I have also seen the need for more power to start and then can be dimed down farther.

Don't even look at the Philips LPrize. The one that won $10,000,000 prize from our Department Of Energy.
It is $49.99 and my price would be $39.99.

The L-prize bulb is only $25 in MA and RI. http://www.energyfederation.org/estarlights/default.php/cPath/4249_5938_6458 Nice bulb, brighter than the other ones. The other ones are also pretty nice though.

Well both versions of my EnduraLED bulbs do not work with the newer X10 LM465 Lamp Modules with Soft Start. Go to 100% and then drop back partially and blink. Older models worked OK.

Didn't work with an Intermatic HA20C as it uses the load for part of its power feed.
With all four. When it was Off. Three of the four went out. One stayed glowing dimly.

Insteon SwitchLinc Dimmers and LampLincs along with the X10 only 2000 series LampLincs where OK.

No long term tests are completed yet. I have a few more on order and will be installing them when they arrive.
