Also, securitron makes a "Z" bracket for that type of installation:

I believe the PN is Z-32 or something along those lines.

One more thing. What happens if there is a fire and the door is locked. Typically there would be an override at the door to directly release the mag so people can get out. Pretend there is a young kid trying to get out and the rule to unlock doesn't work...

Hi, There is a kit for mountng mag locks on inswinging doors. Locknetics call there's a TJ kit. I am not sure what Securatron calls there's It may be a Z bracket. Do a quick search on Ebay and you should find one. It will be much stronger than the 2x4's. You can also check the manf. web site and get the exact part # you need.
