pictures of elk m1g panels

The work great; I change them when the ELK tells me I need to.

They are supervised sensors, and the panel reports trouble when the batteries at low... well before there are any communication issues.

Thanks very much for posting. That's the very first time I've seen n. All wireless setup (yours)

Can you show some photos on how you hook up your transformer? I don't see the elk AC transformer, are the wires run behind the drywall?

Yes. The two power wires run behind drywall to transformers in another room.

I felt that this was more secure than transformers / power strips that were obvious.

I don't think I'd dare show the state of my current house, but here's the last house fully operational but never "finished".

What it doesn't show is the garage sub-panel that has the M1XIN, M1XOVR, M1RB, PD9...

It's not pretty - I never did get it all finished up before it was time to pull it out.

Those AMP units are a type of slotted wiring duct, aka finger channel.

I get 4-6 foot lengths from my local electrical supply outlet for about $20, cover sold separately. Available in white or gray. The only manufacturer of black slotted wiring duct that I've seen is Panduit, and it is much more expensive. And now that AMP stuff.

Many different depths and widths available. Ask at the counter nicely to see the warehouse shelves.

Thanks. It's a leviton 42" cabinet with the ring extender. I used the figered raceway around the perimeter, but the right is already full with all the CAT5 for the bus modules and 18/2 speaker wire. I may have to either add another raceway on that side to somehow use a bigger one.

If I had to do it over again I would've mounted the control at the bottom of the cabinet to have better separation of power and signal connections.

Have you had any interference between power and signal connections? Is this a very big issue? Just trying to understand.
