Player vs transport

Hey guys,

I saw this product from Denon call 'Blu-ray transport' http://connectedhome.com.au/product/denon-...-disc-transport and i was wondering - what's the difference bewteen a BD transport and a BD player? Or is it nust a fancy marketing term for the same thing?

A transport is digital data off of the disk delivered to an external AV processor.
A player does the D to A conversion.
This device does both.
