About to fire up my first touchscreen and not sure how to program it to run during inactive intervals. I was hoping to get a idea of what others are doing.
For the most part our main touch screen is powered off. There is a small push button on the front and it fires up in under a second or 2 so it makes sense to leave it off for the 99% time it isn't used. When it is left on for an hour or two, the screen saver runs family pictures.
Mine is on all day, either at CQC screen or aquarium screensaver. Overnight is goes automatically into sleep mode and then automatically wakes up in the morning.

Ours vary. The primary 15" TS in the family room defaults to a rotating scroll of art during the day (it's mounted in a picture frame) and then drops to black after sunset. The other three in the home default to blacked out.
Touchscreen is awakened, out of standby mode, at 6:30 AM.
A screensaver displays our family photos.
Touching the screen deactivates the screensaver and displays the user-interface (Premise).
After ten minutes of inactivity, the screensaver is activated.
Touchscreen is put into standby mode at 11:00 PM.
A command is sent every hour, between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM, to put the touchscreen into standby mode. If somone uses it during the night, this schedule ensures the touchscreen isn't powered on for longer than one hour

Mine is essentially the same except for the timed on and off. I think you need to share your script 123
But my wife and I both love the photo screensaver. I have hundreds of photos in the system that it rotates and it's fun catching a cool picture while cooking in the kitchen.
