I spoke with tech support for Balboa about their Poolux to ask if it supported connection to a home automation system. I specifically asked about RS-232. The answer was that they did not support communications via RS-232 and so I asked if this meant they didn't interface with any home automation systems and they said "No, not at this time."
That is a shame as it appears to be fairly advanced otherwise.
The only communication they address on the website is via wireless to their control panel and their PC web access module.
