Providing conditional access is away mode

Sorry I have bumped this and at the same time provided a little more detail, trying so sort this out before I head back home for Xmas......

Hi Guys,

This has gotta be simple!

I thought I had given conditional access to our electricity reader and some friends here before I went back home a few weeks back. I have a Proxy/keypad reader (RFK-101) on a gatehouse which is attached to the KP2 on the front door. Anyway I generated password and inputted a couple of prox cards and wrote a rule to allow a striker on a front gate to be fired. Tested the rules and all was fine....I thought.

The electricity company and my friend all reported access denied when I was down south. When I return back here I checked all passwords and cards out and they worked fine. Thought it must not be working when the M1 is in the away mode, sure enough none worked if I armed the M1 system but were fine in the disarmed state.

Easy I thought write a rule to support the required access in the away mode, with only one hair remainding on my head I turn to the experts....it still doesn't work in the away mode.

Basically I am using

Whenever Area 1 is armed away
And last user was Electricity Person 100XXXXX (user 3)
Then turn on Front Gate (output XX) for 10 seconds

I also tried

Whenever access Front door kepad is triggered
And last user was Electricity Person 100XXXXX (user 3)
Then turn on Front Gate (output XX) for 10 seconds

I have the users correctly configured for access and no arm or disarm as I only want them to gain access to the property and not the house.

Anyone able to throw some light on why it's not working in the away mode? This has to be sucker bait :)

Just wondering if I am the only one that has experienced this? A subtle bump sorry I am trying to knock this on the head before I head back south for Xmas.

Thanks,

Yep it was simple........

I had the Temporary Code checked in the user option.

The Temporary Code will not work when the panel is armed UNLESS it was that code that armed the system. This is designed to allow a holiday house owner (or similar scenario) to give a code to a user that will work for them as a normal code but will become invalid when another code is used to operate the system.

Posted only to sign off the issue and help someone that might get caught like me.
