PTZ camera

I am looking for PTZ camera with night vision, to connect with homeseer. I have not decided if I need a DVR or not. I am going to have few cameras, I want couple of them are PTZ and others are non - zoom with motion detector.

I want to able to change the zoom through home seer.

Let me ask a couple more questions to help narrow this down.

Will these be used outdoors? If so, what are the temperature extremes? I imagine you will need weatherproof cases or camera types.

What is your price range. For instance Axis makes a great PTZ IP camera that can be used with any software with a web browser, comes in an outdoor heated case. Price is over $1500 though (rough guess).

How low light is your night time requirements? I.E. pitch dark, street light, landscape lighting in area, etc...

I want this in outdoor. Low temp can be will be 0-90 degrees. It is in NJ area. Low light 0.2 lux is good.

Is there a better option in analog cameras?

Axis will be your best bet but they are not cheap. The cheapest PTZ that you can use outside $999.00(215PTZ) and you looking at around $500 for a outdoor heated/cooled housing. You could try Vivotech but they only work with EI and you get what you pay for image wise. let me know if you have any other questions.
