So I posted this over on the Homeseer forums and got no answers so I figured I would cross post here and see what my fellow cocooners have to say on it.
I have a ceiling fan in my bedroom that is on a single switch with just Hot, Neutral and Ground. This limits me to a single pole switch and not being able to use a separate switch to control the light kit on the fan. It is a standard fan, not high power or anything, and I have CF bulbs in the light kit, which I rarely use because I have to use the pull chain on them (Yikes, can you say stone age?).
I was thinking of putting this on a Leviton VRF01-1LX, but I am not sure if that switch will work with the light kit on the fan without causing damage to the switch or worse. Anyone done this? I know that this switch can only take up to 1.5 amps or 180 watts, so that is really why I ask the question.
