I just installed a couple of these thermostats and they keep going into away mode and I can't seem to figure out why. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you using a z-wave controller to control these tstats or are they just running on there own?
Are you using schedules on these tstats?

I am trying to use my elk system with the vrc0p, but I have been unsuccessful to get that to work.
Yes I am using schedules, but the away mode is overriding them.

My understanding is the only way to activate the away mode is by setting it on the tstat itself or by a z-wave command. So maybe you should make sure the RZCOP is not somehow sending this command, maybe disconnect the RZCOP from the elk system and see if the problem goes away.

Im no expert on this stuff. I just read through the manual several times trying to figure this out.

Have you tried removing them from your z-wave network to see if it occurs as a standalone thermostat?

I have 2 of these plus a Trane Z_wave thermostat which is virtually the same, and I do not have this issue. I also have an M1G but I use Homeseer for control.

Are they switching in minutes, hours, or days? Always at the same time (together)? Always a fixed time from when they were changed back? Is there someone in your house who does not understand how to operate the thermostat?

Ok... So I have the elk hooked up to the vrc0p via serial port, and the thermometers are not working with the elk yet and I can't seem to get them to work. Anyway when I arm the elk to away it puts the thermostats in away mode, and then when we disarm the thermostats stay in away mode instead of going back to run mode.
