RCS TZ45 and Elk

Hi,

I have this thermostat working nicely with Elk M1 and being controlled by Elk rules.  However, I am wondering if it's possible to let the thermostat run local programming primarily and being controlled manually from Elk occasionally, e.g. overriding a setpoint.

Did anyone try that mode ?

Thanks,

Judging by the behavior I've seen with the OmniStat before and with the RCS Zone Control I have here, what it should do is follow the built-in program unless you override via the Elk's control - and if you override via the Elk, it's no different than changing it at the tstat itself in that it'll stay on schedule and keep following that program, so your manual setpoint changes only last until the next scheduled change.

Of course if you change heat/cool/auto modes, that'll hose the built in schedule.

I personally don't want this behavior, so I've always had to leave my tstats in HOLD mode so they don't follow any irritating factory programming.
