Remotely Monitored Mouse Zapper

W-A-A-Y back in ancient times (when CT only had 100 members), there were instructions on creating a remotely monitored mouse zapper.  I think Electron was the author, but my mind gets fuzzy for anything prior to my last meal.  I dug around the forum but didn't find anything.

It's fall, which means it's time for the little buggers to start heading into my attic and garage again.  There's a 4x8 piece of plywood covered with insulation at the top of the attic stairs, so it's a bit of a PITA to go up and check the traps every day.  Does anyone (E?) have instructions for creating a zapper, or has someone hacked one of the Victor units?

That's what I'm talking about.  And yes, the links are kaput.  I thought there was an accompanying "how-to" on how to actually build the puppy, but no-can-find.  Thirty years ago I could have designed it myself, but that knowledge (along with the calculus that hasn't been used since I took the class) is L-O-N-G gone.

Okay, I'm going to give it a try using the photoresistor technique electron used in the archived "How-to".  Ordered a pair of the Victor units from Amazon, one to play with and the other to start thinning the herd.  I'll deploy several of the old fashioned snap-traps, but no-automation = no-fun. B)
I'll let everyone know the results.
