I have to agree that an alarm system would be better. In order to actually recognize someone / something on camera, you need a pretty decent dvr system, with some really good cameras (unless you have access to the magic magnification add-ons the CSI television series uses).

Yup! You just have to zoom and re-process the image a few times and you can easily get facial recognition off of windows or other reflective surfaces! That said, you should certainly be able to get a license plate in a residential area - there should be a reflection of the license plate off a neighbors window - nothing to it! If David Caruso can do it, there is no reason you cant. LMAO!!
