SAI URD30 Noises

I just got a SAI URD30 this past week and installed it today. It is version 1.02. It installed just fine, and it configured quickly with UPStart. However, I noticed that it makes a loud buzzing noise if there is the slightest drop in line voltage. Sorta sounds like one of those old doorbell buzzers - I mean it is loud! The first time it did this was when I powered the circuit back on and now it does it whenever the outside condenser of the HVAC comes on. You know how big outdoor units make the lights flicker when they switch on?? I've got a 5 ton unit and it has a millisecond or so light flicker when it kicks in. Now it's got a good buzz to go with it! Like I said, at least it is in the basement where folks can't really hear it - I'd hate to have to deal with it if it were in a bedroom. Anyone else noticed this?? I plan to call SAI early this week to discuss, but figured I'd check here first.

Techvet,
Doesn't sound right (no pun intended). I've have several installed; none make the noise you are referring to. SA has been responsive when I’ve had questions.

I agree that it is a faulty device.

I also have several installed and haven't heard any noise coming from the device.

I have run into a few of the URDs and UMAs that buzz very loudly when turned on. It appears to be the relay chattering and does appear to happen more frequently when something else turns on and triggers the chattering. On one occasion, I "rapped" the device pretty hard and got it to stop. But, more often than not, it continued.
