auto shut off/turn on water valves are a good idea. I ran a wire to the main for this in the future. I wonder how long they last if used frequently. I reading about some people that shut their water off every time the alarm is armed away...

Nice, I'm on the same boat and planning out what I need to buy.
 
I'm looking at Omni IIe controller. Initially start with 3 doors 4 windows sensors, and 4 indoor/outdoor motion sensors, then I'll change room by room for lighting control.
 
How does Omni IIe talk to Honeywell wireless or other listed wireless devices?? I see there is ELK-M1XRF2H Wireless (RF) Receiver for ELK controller. I see there is Leviton HAI Wireless Receiver - 64 Zone $165 but my understanding is that only works with Leviton/HAI products??
 
I find switches are too expensive, I hope to find dimmers for around $30 or less, I think vizia's are in local home depot.
 
WHat do I need to make Omni IIe talk to Zwave, UPB and Wifi enabled devices such as wireelss Motion Detectors window/door sensors mentioned in this list? 
 
I think I'd also suggest installing REBAR DSD48 HIGH SECURITY Door Frame Reinforcement http://kickproof.com/Our_Products.php or something similar, anyone know any alternative products?
