I use a X10 Floodlight (PR511) for a motion sensor (I like hard wired). I use a CM15A with the AHP software. I use a $30 user created software (BVC) to play the Voice message. The Voice itself is (currently being re-written(?) Kate-16.
I have nothing to sell. So let me point out that there must be a million ways to do this. There is even a commercial unit out there. I also have cameras! And a couple can be easily spotted... although too high to be bothered.
Criminals are not well studied, patient, cunning, crafty people. They are all too often your neighbors kids... or your own kid's.. "friends". It's sad... I've seen young lives destroyed by such "misguided kids" and it breaks my heart. I would do anything to deter those kids from my home... for their sake.
Other intruders are the drug addicted and desperate person... who actions may have no reasoning or logic behind them. These people could be related to you... yet kill your wife for the contents of her purse. Never.. keep a handgun where these people can steal it.
The handful of former tradespeople that are prison (re)trained in burglary can't be stopped and your lost will be reimbursed by insurance. And... are the least of my worries.
