Small format touchscreens

Does anyone know of the existence of any small format touchscreens for wall mounting? I have several large format touchscreens throughout the house - but I would like to place smaller ones in rooms where larger screens are not practical. I would use it generally for lighting and audio control. Many automation companies offer touchscreens in this format so there must be someone manufacturing these? I am using Mainlobby for my larger screens, but might use homeseer touch for smaller screens - if I can find them.

How small do you want to go? I am personally thinking about purchasing a few iPod Touch units, to serve as 'whole house remotes'. There are some wall based mounting solutions if you don't mind spending the money.

Ideally double gang. I looked at the iPod Touch option. It is interesting but the wall mounts cost as much as the iPods! However, MainLobby does run nicely in a web browser on iPad, iTouch, etc. So this looks to be the best situation. Currently I have 1 CAT5 dropped to all rooms that are being used by my Nuvo Controller. Assuming I replace this with iPods then I would need to deliver power over CAT5 and use wifi for connectivity.

Simon you could go with POE Ethernet. That is what I'm planning on using. Even if your touchscreen does not support POE internally you can put a power/data splitter in the box behind the unit and then feed the data and power wires separately.

I am currently testing the Jogglers via PoE running XP and they work fine. The Joggler today will run Linux (Ubuntu), Android (ICS) and XPSP3 (a hybrid now of XPE) just fine. I have one disassembled on my desk held together with painters tape.

You could mount the front capacitance screen on some sort of plastic frame and remove the back of the Joggler and install a large passive heatsink on the Atom CPU or even just leave the back of the Joggler on and mount it that way as it doesn't really stick out too far in the back anyways.

The current street price of the Joggler is around 50 UK ($77.88 USD) pounds plus shipping to US. (refurbished or used as they are no longer being made).
