Received the board today. Very nice Ross. Glad I had you solder the amp on. I'm not too sure I could have done that. Gotta get one of those magnifying lights I guess.

I don't have one of those wonderful big magnifiers either, still looking for one I like after all these years. I use two pairs of glasses instead.
Being able to see what you're doing is only half the problem. Steady hands are the critical bit

USPS isn't what you have to worry about. It's UPS. The union teamsters don't seem to care what they do when they deliver. I bought a 24 port managed switch on Ebay. The UPS driver must have just thrown it in front of my garage door. The entire face was smashed. The seller was nice enough to send me a replacement. Same thing again. He sent a 3rd. This one stayed out in front of the garage for 2 days buried in the snow and freezing rain. It was toast. He gave up and refunded my money. I bought another switch from someone else. A Cisco 2924 in excellant shape. Here we go again. UPS destroyed this one too. The box looked like they backed the truck over it at least twice. He sent another and this time by USPS. The switch is still running 2 years later. The funny part is my keys have never been taken out of my vehicle and my house doors have never been locked in the 25 years I've lived here. They could have taken 10 seconds more and put it in truck or house. Heck, my wife doesn't work and is always home. How about knocking on the door?
 
I finally bought the illuminated magnifying glass and some helping hands with the roach clips on them.
Do you use a .33uf on the input for the 7805 and a .01uf on the output?

ouch! Sounds like your freight drivers learned from ours - and then "improved" on it!
I'll stick with the post for now. At least they've all been delivered (main point) and all delivered intact (bonus!) so far!!
