Sprinkler System ?

I am planning my sprinkler system but i dont have an idea what stuf i needed.
What is the best controller for HomeSeer or CQC ?
What electric sprinkler vavle you are using ?
What sprinkler do you use ? Popup ?

I'm a little confused.  I'm sure you're interested in the controller automation and I'd like to hear some of that but are you also asking about the individual components such as sprinkler head, bodies, and valves?
 
I put in a sprinkler a couple years ago and it was quite the several month effort.  My controller is a Hunter PC-300 controller, Hunter MP Rotator heads and bodies, and Hunter PGV valves.  Don't forget a backflow preventer if you plan to get your water from a municipal water supply.  I chose the Hunter MP Rotator heads for two reasons: normal heads have different water flow rates depending on coverage angle (90 is diff than 180 and you have to take that into account) and the lower flow rate allows my clay soil to accept the water and not run off.  If you need more detail, I can provide it.
 
At some point in the future I do plan to automate my irrigation system and go beyond the decent Hunter PC-300 controller.  At one point I was thinking of connecting my valves directly to my Elk or HAI (will likely purchase HAI) but after reading about "damage potentially due to lightning" in relation to systems and irrigation, I have decided that whatever I use will be a wireless device only connected by a power cord.  And that is about as far as I've gotten on the irrigation control so I'll be paying attention to what others recommend.

I would start reading some general how-to installations and maybe signing up for a class at your hardware store if they have one.
