Suddenly all OmniStat thermostats have lost remote control/reporting the wrong temp.

I do IT support for a client that has an HAI OmniPro system with a bunch of old Omnistats all throughout his house. I think they are model RC-80.

Everything was working fine for years and up until about a week ago. Now changing the temps in the iphone app does not result in a change on the actual thermostat. Also, the app is reporting temps that do no match what the actual temps are.

The thermostats are still functioning normally as dumb thermostats, just the remote control feature seems broken.

Also the rest of his HAI stuff (alarm, lights) are still working fine with his HAI app.

Not sure where to begin troubleshooting this issue. Any idea?

Sounds like the communication between the OmniPro and the tstats is broken. Need to check the three wires on the OmniPro on zone 16 and output 8. Please refer to page 17 of the attached manual.
You can also go to the console, go to the button labelled temps and see if you get valid data there.
Refer to page 49 of the attached OmniPro user manual for the steps to check the tstats.
