SwitchLinc Insteon and X10 compatibility

Just wondering for these Insteon switches:

2476D and 2476S

I'll be using X10 mode for now, will they send a status update back to the controller? So if I was to press at the switch, does it send a x10 code to the controller to update what's going on?

Do they also support x10 scenes?

Thanks.

I have the 2764S switches and have them set to an X10 primary and Scene address. Web said 255 Scenes. I never tried that many.

When I turn the switch on it sends in my case A3 AOn over the power line. Turn it off and a A3 AOff is sent.

It will respond to a Status Request also. Depending on if it was turned on by the primary or scene. I get either a 100% Dim or a 99% dim reply if on.
You may want to look at their web pages for more details and download their full users manuals from the link on that page.

I do remember one thing I saw in their Help desk Area on the 2476D. If you hold the paddle for a Bright or a Dim. Insteon devices if linked follow the switch; the X10 signal is not a stream of bright or dim commands; but a preset dim% sent on the X10 address when the paddle is released.
