Synchronising sticks on VPN connection on ELK-RMS

I have a remote connection via a VPN connection that consistently hangs when it gets to the FKey2 part or the synchronization. (See photo)

It probably connects 1 in 10 attempts and gets past the FKey2 which seems to be at the very end of the synchronization.

It will not allow ELK-RP to connect via the VPN connection which is really what I am trying to establish....remote programming of the system.

Anyone had any experience or successes with VPN and ELK? Appreciate to know if there are any tricks or tips on getting these applications to connect.

Regards,

Fleetz

F2 key does seem to be the last item to synchronize, but I have no problems doing this remotely over a site-to-site IPSEC connection, just tried it. That said, I did install ELK RMS 2.0.2 since that's all I had access to at the time.

Thanks David and Dan,

I am using a PPTP connection and 2.0.8 ELKRMS.

Looking forward to the Guru's feedback.

My primary and vacation homes are linked over an IPSEC path. I have a TS071 in the vacation home and a Vista machine in my primary home running RMS. I can switch IP addresses to see either site, internal or remote, without any hiccups.

I use the Linksys WRV4400 routers which have been bullet-proof.
