Tampering with Sensors

There has been an increased number of break-ins in my neighborhood recently. I feel like I am wired up pretty good with hardwire surface mount window contacts on every accessible window. Doors are wired with rollerball switches. Does anyone know if there is an obvious way to bypass these sensors that I can protect against? Maybe I am just paranoid but looking to make sure I am as locked down as I think I am.

If you can see the contact and your brickmould/jamb is straight, then they can be defeated, but in actuality, anything but a balanced magnetic contact (BMS) can be defeated if you try hard enough. I don't need to get into the defeat methods.

I've seen people take sawzalls to doors and cut them in half or physically bend/bow the door around the jamb itself. I have a photo of a commercial site that I razz my old coworkers with that the alarm never went off and they cleaned out the place (door has their sticker on it).

Found it on a media site: http://i.imgur.com/FGNY4AJ.jpg

Perimeter contacts just let you know that your doors are windows are closed.  They only protect you from lazy crooks ... the ones that will kick in your back door or slither through an unlocked window.   With a window contact, a brick through the glass, a stick to clean out what's left, and the alarm won't go off.  At a minimum, add some motion sensors.
