That Blows!

I'll 2nd Jay's comments on nod32, been running for 2 years now on 8 machines, all virus free, small footprint (written entirely in assembly language), 1 server gets the signature updates other machines update from that. This feature is avaialble free when you buy a multi user license. Best part, it uses a User ID and password to access the signature servers, no wonky expiration mechanism installed on your machine that eats overhead. And no, I don't work for eset

WHY is it when ANYTHING "Norton" touches your system, it changed the task manager?
Now that you mention it I noticed that too. I used partition magic on 2 seperate machines and the task manager is now hosed. Any good (easy) ideas on how to get it back to XP default ?

I hope there is a simple registry fix or something. When hitting Ctrl-Alt-Delete the screen fracking goes to the old win98 style menu that you have to choose task manager or whatever.

Hate to dig up an old link, but...

I just tried to install the new free AVG 7.5 on my Windows 2003 Server and it wouldn't let me, instead it wanted to redirect me to a page where I could buy a license... AVG 7.1 is still running and updating on 2K3 Server but I know they're going to shut off upgrades any day now so I'm looking for free alternatives. I tried Avast but got an error saying that my system does not meet the "minimum" requirements and that it only runs on NT4/SP4 and higher and cannot be installed on "NT Server".

So the question: Who has 2003 server and a free AV product they're happy with?

TIA
Terry
