At Home,

5 Windows XP machine's ( 1 dedicated for HS and 1 tweaked a bit to handle my abuse ).

At Work,

300+ XP machines, 30+ 2003 Servers, and they are rock solid.
We mostly only have problem's with custom applications.

I use OpenOffice when I can.

Crickey - with all this gear running you guys probably don't need any heating in your houses!

Sigh. I ran lots of boxes too until the utility prices got silly, and then considered whether I really needed all that kit when I use VMware server for everything anyway...

Actually in the house, only the HS pc runs 24 hours, but it is a beast and I probably should switch to something that is a little more energy efficient.

My pc's goes to sleep and the other's are turned off when not in use.


At work, I think sometimes we could heat the whole building from the server room.
