Thermostat logging

Now that heating season is in full swing, I fired up my TZ45 zwave thermostats. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what is going on. The thermostats are set low but the house is very warm. Is there a log or some way I can figure out if these things are working right? The house is 5k sqft - there's no way it stays warm for days...

I'm not sure if your automation software has this ability but I use HomeSeer and have it log each time my stats run. A long time ago I used an X10 door and window sensor tied to a cardboard flap in my air return. When the fan is running the flap rises and turns on the door and window sensor. When it stops the sensor go off. I logged this on/offs and calculated the differences and kept the running total. It was very reliable till the batteries ran out.
