tool caddy

Hey, that is sweet and they are in stock at my local HD.

I"m always stuffing things into a make shift bag when I just want a few tools to take to a remote site.

Nice find! :)

Nice find!

I keep three separate toolboxes for different jobs.  Stored empty, most of the time, but when a task comes up it's darned helpful to be able to carry everything all together.

If you're up on a ladder, the Werner boxes are fantastic:

And this:

It has a molded part of the rim that slides into the top of their ladders (but only their units, no adapter for other brands)

One other tip, I keep a tray handy for all the left-over bits:

Man, I have so many bags it seems...  I have one that's my networking bag - has the terminating tools for most network/telecom issues I encounter; I have an electrical bag that has voltmeters and everything for doing electrical work; then I have a Tower bag - used for doing work above-ground on one of the 70' towers I built and maintain.  I also have a power-tool bag for the dewalt tools.  It's too much honestly!  When I go on a job that needs a mix, I end up with a Suburban packed full!  I also have a cart that just fits in the truck so I can load all the tools and wire and whatever on it then take it around the job site, provided there's access.
