Hey does anyone know if touchtronix is still open. They used to post their prices but website seems a little neglected lately.

I thought for sure the company went out of business, as some of the other sites stopped working. Dwayne is a registered member here, could try to send him a PM.

I really don't understand how removing the product descriptions (and even worse, the online order forms) can possibly cut operating expenses that drastically. I mean, you can set up a website like that for almost nothing.
I used to be interested in their products, but I am sorry, I just won't buy from a company that can't afford to spend a few bucks a month to upkeep a decent website. I just don't get the "Warm and fuzzy."

What specifically led you to decide that they were cutting costs by changing up the website?

I may be wrong, but after reading "Our commitment for 2009 is to continue to provide valuable products and service to our customers, but at the same time carefully watch our operating costs", line right out of their website and at the same time all information and online ordering pages are removed, I think a reasonable person would conclude that the company is going through financial hardship.
I am simpathetic to the company if that happens to be the case but I also think that if products are still being sold, whether intended or not, gives out the perception that the company may not be around to provide support in the future.
I am no marketing expert but to me it seems to me that a technical company taking down their website is equivalent to, for example, your local barber shop taking down their sign to save cost. Plenty of people will drive by and think the store is closed and will take their business to the next barber shop.
Whatever the case may be with the Touchtronix, I do wish them luck and I do realize that my perception may be absolutely wrong.
