Two Z-wave HA06 dimmers in gang?

The package for the Z-Wave Intermatic HA06 dimmer switch says that it was designed for up to 2 gang installs.
Does this mean that you could have two HA06's in a 4 gang box along with 2 regular switches/dimmers?
Or does this mean that you can only place HA06's in a 1 or 2 gang box?

Does anyone have any experience placing them in a box larger than 2 gang?

Thanks in advance.

I can't answer specifically for those, but I believe typically derating instructions are for 2 of the switches next to each other. So If your 4 gang box is labelled 1-4 from left to right, you could have a dimmer in 1 & 3 or 1 & 4 or 2 & 4 at full rating, but if you put them next to each other like 1 & 2, 3&4, etc then you need to follow the derating instructions. The derating means that it can not control the full rated load, only some lesser load because of heat. But you should have no problem putting 2 of them in a 4 gang box.

I'm guessing that derating has to do with not being able to handle full load as you mentioned?
How do I determine how much load is on my switch?
For instance, if each switch is rated for 300w, and I put a 150w load on each switch, can I then have 4 switches per gang?

The most basic way is to just add up the wattage of all the lights on that circuit.

It does not look like the HA06 manual says anything about derating, but since it is only 300W to begin with, you can not put too much more than a few lights on each. Here is an example of derating (look at the table bottom left).

It sound like they don't want you to put more than 2 switches in a box regardless of how many gangs, but you should be ok with 2 switches in any position at 150W max each.
