Thoughts on a magnet that's 1/16 - 1/8" thick for my double pane windows. They are relatively new and under warranty so I'm hesitant to drill the bottom sill. Plus if I go wireless I can monitor both panes. I bought a GE micro sensor, but even that magnet is way too thick to clear when opening the window.

Magnet tape might work. Does the magnetic pole matter? I just found these on eBay

Remove the magnet from the housing you already have.
You're not going to find too many that small and profile you need. Even the brad style are at least 3/16 typically, and they have less of a gap to boot.
Magnetic tape isn't going to pull in enough.
