I have a 3 way light switch that I want to replace with upb switches. I only have one extra upb switch lying around. I used up my last slave switch on another project.
So my question is if i use a upb master switch in one of the locations do I have to replace the other switch of the 3 way with a upb slave or can i leave the current non upb switch?

Thanks

Todd

You can't just use a regular switch hooked up to the UPB switch, but you could essentially turn it into a 1 way circuit and use the 1 UPB switch and leave the remote disconnected. Depending on where your line and load wires are you may have to use the travelers as a conduit for them. Like if the Line is in 1 box and load in another you can use the traveler wire to bring the load to where the line is, etc.

Hi Todd -
I've got several UPB slave switches that I don't have any use for. They are still new in the package. I've been meaning to post on Ebay but haven't got around to it. Make an offer for one or more and pay shipping and its yours.
