UPB Dimmer Speed

i have installed several sai 1140s thoughout the house and i lost some functionality that has dented the WAF. i have setup the 1140s so that when the upper rocker is held it "Fades Up" and when the lower rocker is held it "Fades Down". however, the dimming speed is too fast. we can't control the level of dimming accurately...it goes all the way on or off before we can let go of the rocker. we end up trying multiple times before we can get close to the right level of lighting. btw, the fade is set at 0.8 sec because we like the lights to come on quickly when we hit the on switch.

however, if i move the fade rate to say, 5 seconds, we can control dimmer level with a satisfactory level of control. but now the lights go on and off slowly. my question is: how can i set the fade rate for "dimming" separately from the fade rate from turning on/off?

maybe setup the double tap option? (dbl tap will turn on fast, and push and hold to turn on slow)

In Upstart the pre-defined modes have different speeds set up already. I would play around to find what works. Maybe upon a single tap in is a snap but then still maintains fade rates for dimming. Also check the options for a way to adjust the dim rate.

thanks for the suggestions. i changed the default dim rate on that switch and it works ok. i am already using double click for a link. looking to change out the faceplate and move the "double click" link to a button. i think that will solve my issue of having the link available and being able to control dim speed.
