UPB Elk Question

Hi, I have my first UPB switch installed and connected to my Elk M1, Working perfect so far. The one thing I can't figure out is how to have the switch send info to Elk when turned on or off. What I am trying to do is have the Elk do somthing when the switch is activated. One example might be the following rule.

Whenever porch light is turned on, Then turn on relay 16.
Whenever porch light is turned off, Then turn off relay 16.

By turned on, I mean manual press of the switch.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike

in UPStart, make sure the switch reports changes based on local control, then everything will be notified when you press the switch

I looked for the report of changes, All I can find is links. Do you know where in Upstart I should look? I have looked in Transmit components, but that looks to all about links. :)

on the options tab in upstart (while editing a device), check the box that says "Report light level after any button or rocker is pressed". this will transmit the current level of the load after local control is activated.

DeLicious, Thanks, But no go. I do not have that option under my options tab. All I have is dimming and status led options(Very cool by the way). This version is not that old, a month or so. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

What manufacturers switch are you using. The check box for that feature appears on different tabs for different manufacturers.
