UPB Faceplates?

So, I just ordered a bunch of UPB switches! GREAT PRICE!!

let me preface this with:
first time buying JUST switches. In the past I had purchased one each of the three starter kits. That was a great way for me to get a coupler, two PIMS, a bunch of various switches, etc.

Recently, I bought a bunch of switches (only switches) under the sale that was at AO. GREAT EXPERIENCE! I really love to shop with them. I'm sad when they don't have what I am looking for.

So, let me ask, again keep in mind I've never bought JUST switches, when did Simply Automated stop putting face plates in with the switches? Were they always sans face plates? In the starter kits there was always a slew of face plates to be used. I have the memory that most of the time the face plates were already attached to the switches in the little box they come in. Was that just because it was a starter kit??

I wish I had known, I would have ordered face plates as well. I not have an entire box of UPB switches that...well, aren't doing me much good right now

Oh well, I guess I should go order some face plates. Lesson learned!

Okay, so help me understand....what is the difference, because i too am planing a UPB install and upon pricing out these switches i am seeing the slaves for like $35 and then you have the $70 ones, but they look the same.

What is the difference, and when (what) application would you use them?

I see...so, "US240 - UPB Universal Transceiver Base" is the BASE only!!

So, it was the 11-30s that came in the kit that had the face plates already on them!!

Oh well, now I know!

Yup, the 1130's/1140 are single rocker and come with faceplate. The us2-40 is the body only and allows you to use any of the faceplates sold separately. The USR is just a cheap dummy slave for a 3 way circuit. The USR is a piece of junk imho. Future 3-ways I would use an additional 1140 and create a virtual 3 way. That way you have a better quality switch and the LED tracking, etc. The HAI and PCS switches come as a complete switch with faceplate. Only SAI/Web Mountain sells a body only since they are the only ones with changeable faceplates.

Thank you for extending the offer for me! I will pay the shipping, especially as I goofed AND I just bought a patch panel from you as well! It wouldn't be fair for you to foot the bill for my screw up (or my ordering of new hardware that was NOT originally on the first order!!)!
