UPB Plug in module with IR blaster?

I have an HAI home automation system with a number of UPB lighting devices. We're looking to install motorized plantation shutters in a bathroom that are controlled via infrared. Unfortunately Somfy and Lutron don't do motorized shutters, and IR control was the best we could find.

I'd really like to find a way to control them with our home automation system. I've seen UPB modules with an IR receiver that lets you control UPB devices with an IR remote. Does anyone know of a plug-in UPB module with an IR blaster that would allow us to plug it in with a line of sight to the shutters for automated control? This would offer the additional benefit of being able to mount an RF keypad for controlling the shutters instead of having to point the handheld remote at them.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

How many buttons are involved for remote control? Only thing I can think of right now is by 'hacking' the remote and use a UPB I/O module to simulate the button pushing. Do you know if this is regular IR (i.e. can any universal TV remote copy this signal), or is it something like IrDA? If possible, also post the make/model of the motor/remote system.

It's the Perfect Tilt system from Norman shutters, I can't post a link yet unfortunately.

Regarding the remote, it has 8 buttons that correspond to the different angles of the shutters. A single remote can control multiple shutters. Here is all the Norman website says:

Remote Control

Battery-operated
Individual pre-programmed ID
Broad effective range of 20-25 feet
3 panel controls—individual, wide and extra wide
8 pre-set angles, and the special function of minor louver adjustment
A remote control can be used to control multiple panels and multipler shutters

If anyone knows of another motorized plantation shutter solution, I'm open to suggestion. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but just got the Norman shutters and am looking for an IR file. Did you ever find/learn one?

Thanks
Bruce
