UPB

Dave and I worked on this for a while.... I was unable to get the wall switch to go into setup mode (we did once but never again), so I replaced the switch with another 2/40 we know that the switch is sending the command and that the ceiling unit is responding but the 4 lights are not going on or off. It was determined that I need to check the wires again for the ceiling unit to see if we have a bad connection. We def appear to have had a bad switch.

I talked to Ken at SA this morning; he asked if the US240 had been set for a faster tap setting. If so then we may have needed to tap faster. Since it went into setup once. That might have been a possibility.

He was also curious as to the total watts on the fixture. In any event give him a call when you can.

I suggest, if you want to bench test the US240 you can take a short extension cord and cut the end off. Wirenut the black, white, and green wires to the cord, be sure to get the polarity correct. plug in (take great care when plugged in)( be sure to keep the other wires capped also) and try to put the switch in setup by taping faster.

Bad news.... After all the time Dave spent helping me get it working..... Today the switch stopped working again:-(. Now I can hear the switch in the ceiling click but it will not turn on... even if I use Upstart and directly link to the ceiling UFD. What could be the problem now? My wall switch has strength of 45/53 and the UFD has a strength of 45/54. Out of 29 UPB devices this is the only one that is a problem.
