I just updated my m1 gold and now the keyfobs don't work and there is a violation with my wirless doors motion and GE wirless smoke.  All wireless does not function properly

Please help!

What model of the GE wireless receiver do you have?  The M1XRFEG or the M1XRF2G?

What was the old level of firmware you were running?  What level did you upgrade to?

I believe it is the M1xrfeg but it is also the elk wireless that doesn't work.
I don't remember the prior firmware when I upgraded there was 2 choices 5.3.10 and 4.6.8 and mine was older than the 4.6.8.  I upgraded to the 5.3.10 only

Ok, if you had a M1XRF2G, you'd be in trouble because it is no longer supported by the more recent (5.x.x) firmware releases.  Since you have a M1XRFEG, you should be ok.

Did you back up your configuration by doing a Receive All and saving it before you installed the new firmware?

It may be that all you need to do is re-enroll all the bus modules to get the wireless receivers back.

The wireless zones might be showing as violated because the transmitters only send a status update once an hour or so, unless they have a status change.  When you installed the new firmware, it lost the last status off all those sensors.

You can try opening/closing all the doors and windows that have the wireless sensors and see if that clears the problem.

It worked! I opened and closed the doors and did a test on the smoke and everything works good now. I was very scared I wrecked something

Thank you so much!

Glad you got it working again.  The way wireless sensors operate can cause them to show strange symptoms in some circumstances.

When you cycle power on the M1 system the two way wireless sensors need to be opened and closed once in order to register them with the panel as secure.

Mike.
