DLINK released version 1.04 of their firmware for the DSM-520. Unfortunately, this version disables a critical UPnP function that is required to support remote control via Premise. I recommend that you do not upgrade to this new version. Version 1.02 works fine.

Thanks, I see they have 1.06 out for the DSM-510 also but after reading your message I will not update mine either.
I was planning to buy some of the newer media players to test but I read too many negative comments on them at AVSforum. I am now not buying another player until I see one with a Sigma EM8634 or better chip in it. My EM 8621 based DSM-510 sometimes chokes on HD mpeg2 files at bitrates that it should be able to handle.
