First let me thank John for the UPnP module he created! Very neat. I've also been using his weather module and it too is very impressive. I'm new to UPnP so these issues maybe the user 
I'm using it under vista with media play 11 as the UPnP device. I was able to download the intel upnp 2.0 runtime package from here:
I used this file: Download, Windows installer, .NET CLR 2.0 runtime required (ZIP 3.7MB)
For some reason I'm not able to display pictures (I've only tried the default pictures that come with windows media player)?
I'm also unable to play video through the browser or at all for that matter. The length shows up as 0. As before I'm using the sample videos that come with media player. Where should the videos play? Should they be able to play in the browser or can upnp open windows media player and play them in there? I am able to play music just fine so I think my UPnP settings are correct.
The picture and video file data shows up. However, the automation browser keeps trying to load them forever (ie says x items remaining...). I did move the upnp module to the top under modules and also tried rebooting.
It appears I cannot post the link to intel sdk I used as I keep getting an error. I had to use the way back machine http://web.archive.org/ and search for www.intel.com/technology/upnp (I used the Jan 21, 2008 version of the intel site.) then go to the download link labeled "Download software here" found midway down the page. It appears intel took the tool kit off their site?
