US2-40

I'm making the switch from X10 and bought the starter kit which includes the US1-40 dimmer switches and the US2-40 switch. The regular dimmer switch works fine.

I can't seem to get the switch to control the local load. Out of the box, is the US2-40 top paddle supposed to control the local load? (The faceplate is the top paddle with 4 small bottom buttons). Out of the box, I'm able to control the other two dimmers using the small bottom button but can't control local load.

I'm still waiting for the programmer - is there a way to set up the US2-40 to control the local load without the programmer?

Out of the box a new 240 should operate the local load with any faceplate.
Are you sure you wired it correctly?
Black from the hot side. Brown wire to the load. The two striped wires capped if not used?

You have the preconfigured DKIT-01 kit.
Did you read the install docs?

Read the individual user guides fro each switch as well.
