Using RCS RS485 Hubs with Elk Data Bus

I was just wondering if anybody has tried using the RCS RS485 hub on an ELK data Bus? I have several of these and before I purchase the Elk active hubs I was wondering if there is any reason the RCS units would not work (assuming the baud rate matches)? The RCS unit is just a generic RS485 active hub so it shouldn't care if the devices hooked to it are made by ELK.

Never tried the RCS Thermostat on the ELK Hub, but if it does not work I suspect the data direction turn around time is too quick and the first byte is being lost. It needs at least 4 ms between end of data and receiving data.

I don't want to put RCS Tstats on an Elk Hub... I want to put Elk expansion boards on an RCS hub.
