Vacation mode

Anyone have an example of code to put your home in a "vacation" mode so that lights turn on and off form time to time to simulate occupancy while you are gone on vacation?

I think it would be nice to create a pool of code here that new folks can use as templates for things they want to do in their own homes.

I would suggest looking at the HAI knowledge base (kb.homeauto.com). There are many articles on various topics that are useful. There is also an application directory document in the knowledge base that has several "applications" for your HAI system in a single document. One application is titled "Making the House Look Lived-In While on Vacation" might be of particular interest but there are many others like sprinkler control, or custom programming 6-button room controllers, seasonal heating and cooling, etc.

There are discussion groups that have forums dedicated to user contributed program examples...
