Vanity Lights Hum

Well...for those of you that have helped on my other posts...I have run into a new issue.

So far I have installed about 30 HAI 35a00-1 CFL 600W Dimmables with assorted 37a00-1 Auxiliary switches where required.
Everything is in HCL mode.
I also installed a phase repeater which did wonders for my signal levels as viewed on upstart.

I just got around to installing a few bathrooms.
These bathrooms are all on the SAME GFI breaker.
The switches all control the vanity lights in each of the bathrooms.
A total of 3 bulbs in one vanity on one switch, 6 bulbs total across two vanities in 2nd switch, and 8 bulbs across two vanities in third switch.
All bulbs are CREE 60w equivalent dimmables.
I have the same bulbs on other HAI 35a00-1 switches with no issues.

When the switches are on, I get a hum...sounds like it is coming from the fixtures.
I am not referring to the hum that the switches make when turning on and off....
This hum stays constant even after the switches have finished their cycling process.

I installed the first bathroom...turned on the breaker...turned on the light...heard the hum.
I thought it was weird...but went ahead on the second bathroom, same routine....that one hummed also.
Then I did the third bathroom and all three hum when any of their associated switches are turned on....weird.

The only other time this had happened was with two sets of overhead flourescents in my garage.
I had to replace a ballast in the one overhead and this created a hum. I replaced the other old ballast to the identical model/manuf of the new one I had put in and the hum stopped.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Mike

When I have my incandescent vanity lights dimmed, for a night light, they have a very soft hum. Generic slide dimmers, not solid state. Try some $5 dimmers, see if it's the HAI dimmers, or just any dimmer.

Any dimmer changes the waveform a bit for the lights, but you could try a different type of bulb (Cree makes several types) or see if you can prevent the hum with silicon, tightening screws, adding insulation under the fixture etc.
