VGA 101? SVGA cable with VGA equipment?

I have some SVGA cables. The equipment has VGA connections. Can I use the SVGA cables on this?

Sorry if this is basic. I think I can use them but want to make sure.

IVB, I believe so. Dont have the items here. Pretty sure it was just an upgrade in resolution technology. Like vhs to s-vhs. Better res.
