Voice Control with Elk

Good day folks.

I have an M1G system, with two areas, area 1 for the house and area 2 for my separate garage. I'm using ELK to set rules and controls.

I've been attempting to restrict messages from the (area 2) garage so that I don't hear any messages when the alarm automatically sets at night, or when I turn the alarm off when I enter early in the morning. I need some system messages as I use, among other things, a non-alarm zone for the doorbell to generate "Front Door" when the doorbell is pressed.

Any suggestions for how to accomplish this?

You can go into the voice messages and blank out the messages for armed night and disarmed. Then it won't speak for those events. I do this for my armed night and stay. But it will apply to all zones for those events.

Is there any way I can turn off system messages and only activate them for specific items I write rules for, like the doorbell being pressed? I've tried but can't seem to activate the doorbell message when the system messages are off.

Thanks,

Paul

You can turn the amp on and off by time settings etc. Or turn it off all of the time and only turn it on for a specific rule as far as I know.
