Haiku WHA and Haiku

So I am currently evaluating WHA systems and we are ready to buy. We have been using a few Sonos speakers due to ease of use so the wife is used to that interface.

So I am ready to purchase and install a Hi-Fi 2 system instead with the in ceiling speaker I will be installing. Can I get some indication on how the Haku interface works on linking rooms together (same source) etc. I would also be interested to know what source could be utilized that could be managed through Haiku..i.e Nuvo Musicport or similar?

I would use sonos but I want a single interface (Haiku for now) to be able to manage the source as well as the HAI system.

Any idea, opinions, example, recommendations are welcome!

Thanks

NuVo Music Port + Grand Concerto or Essentia G is your best bet. But Haiku won't allow you to browse the artists, etc (yet anyway). We hope to add this in the future. You can however control zone power, source, volume, mute/unmute, play/pause, skip next/previous track and view metadata in Haiku.

Other systems are also supported, like Russound (also with Metadata), HAI Hi-Fi (as well as Hi-Fi 2), etc. But NuVo will likely have the most full-featured support. I'm not sure about combining Musicport with HAI Hi-Fi, don't know if that will get you anywhere.
