Just curious to know where I can purchase screwless Lutron wall plates for cheap? I found from Home Depot, it's roughly $2 a piece for a single gang.

Thanks.

I've been able to find some on ebay once in a while but the HD price is going to be hard to beat (especially when to add shipping charges)

Sorry guys, I don't know how I came up with that $2, but it is supposed to be $5 each for single gang, double is $9. I'll look around. Will these screwless plates flush nicely with the drywall. Meaning I have some SmartLinc switches just barely fit the gangbox, so I have to screw in pretty tight so no gap between the switch plate and the drywall behind.

Thanks.

Can't help on the Lutrons, but I ended up going with Cooper Aspire screwless wall plates in my house. I felt they had a good look, and were easy to install. I picked them up at Lowes, and they were substantially cheaper than the Lutrons (but still not extremely cheap).

I'm not a fan of the Levitons, which I found much more of a pain to install.

I have a few of these that work pretty well, but imho I have never seen one that works as good as the good old fashioned screw plates.

I'll second MikeB's recommendation of the Cooper Aspire. I replaced all of the plates in my house with them recently and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. They look great and didn't cost a fortune.

Other than being a bit of a hassle to remove (though I try to remember blame Insteon that I had to replace the switch), they are way better than any screw plate I owned. In multi-gang boxes, the plates made it much easier to align the switches, making the finished product look that much better...

The link I posted earlier has them for $3.50/$7.50/$11.25/$15.00 for 1-4 gangs.

I have had no issues with them fitting flush to the drywall and I have them all over my house.

I third Cooper Aspire. The white has matched my white Insteon switches pretty close.

I thought that $2 price tag from Home Depot sounded too good to be true. I recommend Westside Wholesale. Their prices for Lutron Claro are 2.99/5.99/8.99 for the 1,2,3 gang plates. If you buy enough switchpates shipping is free over $149.

I have a combination of Lutron Claro and Leviton screwless plates. I like the look of the Claro better plus it does a better job of confomring to any irregularities of the wall. I have some wall plates that I have removed and replaced dozens of times with no breaking.

I also just recently sent off 2 dozen of the switchplates to have them engraved with identification labels because I can never remember which switch does what.

Well at least until SH/SL changes the color of white again. :)

Sorry, that was to easy to resist. :D
I was gonna say, for a while even the Insteon switches didn't match each other!

Well, notice I did say "my white" meaning the ones I have in my house.

I'm finally learning to write escape language in my posts. :)
