Who here uses Bluetooth Proximity Detection with HA?

Hey John,

We have a plug-in that works with Virtual Crib (vcrib) that works really well. I don't use it that much because leaving BT on runs my phone's battery down quicker.

You can try out the Virtual Crib one, but I'm not sure if you would be able to use that with other software or whatever

On the topic of BT draining - I have BT in two vehicles - one of them might have had a "sticky" BT radio which may have drained the battery to its demise. I've since then replaced the battery and checked for parasitic drains and didn't find any but rather just references to the "sticky" BT.

In this vehicle and others have gone to using RFID's with their own batteries that seem to do the job ok but not perfect.
