Wind Direction Sensor Reading Difficulty - any suggestions?

Hello:

I recently got the AAG Wind Monitor and have it running with a few other devices on my roof. I use the xapmcs1wire software and read the wind speed without a problem, but am not receiving any data on the wind direction. I'm wondering if positioning of the magnet to the switches is 'sensitive' - I have lowered the magnet to as low as I can without touching the switches, but would there be any other reason I am not receiving any input on the direction switches?

Also - recent repair to my solar sensor worked great and I put the CLD on a 8" 30 ga extension cable that let me secure it in a small weather proof container.

Thanks Much
Ken

Never mind - disconnected the instrument to troubleshoot and took it off the end of the 1wire chain and it works fine, so I have my first 1wire wiring problem to figure out. Weird that everything seemed to work except the direction sensor.

That is rather strange but 1-Wire can do some odd things at times. What kind of wiring are you using and how long is the run?
